Scientific Kill Condition Panel
Kill condition markets cannot be resolved by automated price mechanisms alone. They require scientific judgment: does this experimental result sufficiently violate the threshold? This panel provides that judgment.
How It Works
1.
Pre-committed roster
Panel members are recorded publicly before any market opens. No retroactive additions during deliberation.
2.
Case review opens
When evidence triggers review, an oracle case is opened. Market status changes to
pending_review.3.
Individual votes
Each panelist votes YES FIRES / NO SURVIVES / ABSTAIN with written reasoning. COI-recused panelists cannot vote.
4.
Decision published
Majority vote + full reasoning published here. Market resolves, Brier scores computed, credits settled automatically.
Quorum rule:
Majority of active panelists must vote non-abstain before a case can close.
A
void decision returns all stakes. Market prices are a calibration
signal — they inform investigation but do not determine resolution.
